Black clay and natural fibre object vessel, untitled, 2022 by Karen Wilde.
Inspired by Wilde’s ongoing research of Hole ontology, New Zealand environmental ecology and glaze alchemy.
Handbuilt from NZ black clay with matte shino, organic slip and hand-woven fibres. This piece depicts a surreal zoomorphic (animal-shaped) form with tripod legs, soft yellows and hints of pink. Burnished steel accents flow through the holes and rim. Lowfired to earthenware temperatures.
*Non-functional object for dry flowers or small pencils/brushes.
*Actual colours may vary based on individual screen monitor settings.
